The Wilderness Trip Planning Module is an interactive map interface that is designed to educate visitors about Wilderness areas in the Sierra Nevada. It is not intended as a navigational tool, but rather as a starting point to help you better understand the amazing country that you will be venturing into, from access to restrictions.

This interactive map interface allows you to pan the map to any area of the Sierra you are interested in. Once to a place you like, you can turn layers on and off, query the map to find out details about the information it presents and help make better decisions about where to start and end your trip, as well as places to see along the way.

For more information on the functionality of the module, please refer to the Help page or click the button on any of the pages.

To start your experience, please choose from the following list of regions that you are interested in looking at. Once you are at the map, you can move to any of these other regions freely, as well as return to this page or quickly select another region from a list.
